Bandar Lampung (1st day)
Saturday, I and my colleagues went to Bandar Lampung for attending marital invitation from Herman. We went to Bandar Lampung using three avanza cars starting from Wisma Mulia Jakarta at 8 am. The journey route would be Jakarta – Pelabuhan Merak (Banten) – Pelabuhan Bakauheni (Lampung) – Bandar Lampung. The traffic from Jakarta to Pelabuhan Merak, Banten, was normal so we arrived in Pelabuhan Merak at 10 am. At that time, there were no queues for our car to the Ferry ship for crossing Selat Sunda with destination Pelabuhan Bakauheni. After approximately two hours in the ferry, we arrived in Pelabuhan Bakauheni and then continuing our journey to Bandar Lampung (Bandar Lampung is approximately two hours from Pelabuhan Bakauheni). In the middle of journey, we stopped a while for having lunch at Padang Restaurant named Siang Malam. My colleagues said that the restaurant is better than the other Padang restaurant surrounding Trans Sumatra road. At that restaurant, I just ate fried chicken ala Padang food which is fried using egg, Sate Padang, and then the fried shrimp. For your information, the fried shrimp is very delicious. ![]()
After we had lunch, the journey was continued to the Indra Puri Hotel, the center of Bandar Lampung. At 15.30 PM we arrived to the hotel and then check in. The building of the hotel is so so but the panorama view is very good. From the window of my room, I can see the sea. :D
After that we did culinary of Lampung food. Our first place was durian shop. Durian in Lampung is very delicious, so we ate many durians. Hm..my stomach is so full ![]()
After that, we went to the very popular Bakso (Meat ball) in Lampung, called Bakso Soni. When we went there, there are many consumer who eating the Bakso. Anw, i think the flavor of Bakso Soni is not too special, the flavor is like the other Bakso in java, but I don’t know why Bakso Soni is so popular in Lampung.
From Bakso Soni, we moved to the beach. In that beach we didn’t do many activities, we just took some photos. After that, we went back to the hotel and then at 21 pm we had dinner at empek-empek restaurant, traditional food of Sumatra (Pelembang). Full of empek-empek, we went back to the hotel..
Very sleepy…
