My New Pocket Camera Canon IXUS 95IS
Yesterday, I with Falconi went to tokocamzone at ITC Fatmawati for searching some Pocket Digital Camera. At first, I wanted to buy Canon IXUS 970IS because this digital camera has resolution 10 MP, 5x Optical Zoom and with standard-advance features of pocket digital camera like face detection, red eye correction, motion detection, and optical image stabilizer. But unfortunately this product has been discontinued 
. Then, I wanted the lower version, Canon IXUS 85IS, which have lower in optical zoom but almost have similar features with Canon IXUS 970IS. Hm.. but this product also has been discontinued .
Well, then I decided to buy Canon IXUS 95IS. This Canon IXUS 95IS have resolution 10 MP and 3x Optical Zoom with consistently blur-free results provided by optical Image Stabilizer. This digital camera also have smart auto mode with Scene Detection Technology which is used to analyze the shooting scene in detail, checking subject brightness, contrast, distance and overall hue, then instantly selects one of 18 possible modes to ensure perfect settings for the scene. The other features are i-Contrast which is used to brightens the dark areas of a photo without blowing out correctly-exposed areas, Face Detection Technology which is able to register multiple faces in a frame and adjusts settings for better results, Face Self-Timer which is used to simplifies group shots or self portraits by waiting until the user enters the frame before shooting, and Auto Red-Eye Correction which can removes the unwanted red-eye effect caused by flash photography, either during or after shooting.
With those features, i think enough for me because I just wanting to use this digital camera for digitalized some of my activities or my moment.

But this packet does not include memory for storage, but the shop give me 2GB memory card as complementery.

So whats make you go that far to ITC Fatmawati?
Cheaper? Just curious, because ITC Fatmawati is located near my house ;)

Why don’t you compare with another brand of digital camer that has a similar spec.
It would be better if you compare the capture result of those camera, so that we can judge the quality by those price

Good idea. Btw, most of my friends based on their experiences on digital pocket camera gave me recommendation for choosing Canon instead of the other brand. That’s way i choose Canon.
